## Add and edit an image

New Study Notes uploads appear ahead of older ordinary images. Microscope attachments form the first group. A Flashcard upload uses the first selected image and replaces that face’s previous content.

1. Select an editable Study Notes entry and choose Upload image.
2. Choose one or more image files. Prepare each image in the image editor.
3. Use Draw, Text, Tape, Eraser, Crop, Undo, Redo, Reset, and the zoom controls as needed.
4. Click Save image, or Cancel to abandon the editor.
5. Use the saved card’s Inspect, Edit, or Delete controls. Save the pack to update its file.

## Make a Tape identification prompt

1. Open Edit on an ordinary image and choose Tape.
2. Choose Straight tape for a rectangular strip, or Free tape to paint a cover.
3. Draw over the structure you want to hide.
4. In Image Occlusion — Optional, give that cover a Covered structure answer.
5. Use cover handles to order questions by dragging or Up/Down keys if needed.
6. Save image and keep Tapes enabled for the entry before starting the quiz.

Keep in mind: A Tape without an answer is a visual study cover, not a quiz prompt. Tapes applies to ordinary images with answered covers; it does not make microscope-slide occlusion prompts.

## Include images and slides in Identify

Identify creates one entry-name question per eligible entry. Tapes creates separate prompts for answered covers, and Notes supplies separate blank prompts. Turning either image switch off leaves note blanks available.

Both switches default on but are disabled when their required media is missing, the pack is read-only, or an import blocks editing. The guidance says Add an image or microscope slide to enable this control, or Add a Tape cover with an answer to enable this control.

1. Attach at least one usable image or microscope-slide preview to the Study Notes entry.
2. Enable Identify in Images for this entry.
3. Give the entry the name you expect as the answer.
4. Start a quiz that includes that entry. The Identify question uses its ordinary images and attached microscope previews together.
5. Click a microscope preview or Inspect in the quiz to open its saved view in the attachment viewer.

## Organize and remove media

- Click a saved media filename, or focus it and press Enter/Space, to rename it inline. Enter or leaving the field saves; Escape cancels.
- Use Drag to reorder on ordinary image cards to change their order. Microscope cards are a separate leading group and do not have that image drag handle.
- Delete changes to Delete? for confirmation. A second click removes that attachment from the entry.

## Inspect an ordinary image

Inspect opens the enlarged image viewer. Use −, +, Reset, Contrast, Sharpen, and Close. Drag pans; the wheel zooms; touch supports two-finger pan/pinch. Left/Right moves between images when several are available.

Reset first restores image effects; with effects already at their defaults, it fits the view. Microscope attachments use their own viewer described in the Microscope guide.

## Questions and answers

### How do I add an image?

In an editable Study Notes entry, choose Upload image, select files, prepare each one, and click Save image. In Flashcards, Upload image replaces the selected face’s content with the first chosen image. Insert image into notes is a separate editor command.

### Can microscope slides appear in Identify quizzes?

Yes. An enabled Identify question includes usable attached microscope previews alongside ordinary images. Inspecting a slide from the quiz opens the same microscope attachment viewer as the entry, with its saved center and zoom.

### Why is the Tapes switch disabled or missing?

The Study Notes switch needs a usable ordinary image with an answered Tape cover and an editable pack. Flashcards does not show this switch, although answered covers on card images can create card prompts. An unanswered cover alone is not a quiz prompt.
