1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using ColloqAid, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use ColloqAid on behalf of an institution, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that institution.
2. Educational purpose
ColloqAid is designed as a study, library, and quiz-building tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, formal assessment, or institutional instruction. Users remain responsible for checking the accuracy and suitability of their study material.
3. Your material and responsibilities
You are responsible for study packs, notes, images, canvases, profile details, feedback, and other material that you upload, import, create, save, or publish. You should not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and lawful to do so.
You remain responsible for maintaining access to your own Google account, devices, browsers, and exported files.
4. Copyright and permission to share
You may upload or publish material only when you own it or have the necessary rights and permissions. You must respect copyright, privacy, confidentiality, publicity rights, institutional rules, and any license terms that apply to the source material.
By explicitly publishing a pack, profile, or avatar, you permit ColloqAid to host, process, reproduce, and display that public material as needed to provide the sharing feature. You retain any ownership rights you have in your content.
5. Prohibited and abusive use
You may not use ColloqAid to:
- Break the law or infringe another person's rights.
- Upload malware, attack the service, bypass access controls, or interfere with other users.
- Publish unlawful, deceptive, abusive, threatening, exploitative, or deliberately harmful material.
- Expose private or confidential information without permission.
- Misrepresent authorship, identity, affiliation, or permission to share a pack.
- Use automated activity that creates unreasonable load or disrupts availability.
6. Public shared packs
Sharing is an explicit user action. When you publish a pack, its chosen content and metadata may be visible to anyone who can access the public catalog or link. Review the preview carefully before publishing.
You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, quality, and permissions of publicly shared material. ColloqAid may remove or restrict public content when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, rights complaints, or service integrity.
7. Availability and service changes
ColloqAid may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features. Availability can be affected by browsers, devices, Google services, Vercel, Cloudflare, external CDNs, storage limits, network conditions, maintenance, or other factors outside ColloqAid's control.
No promise is made that every feature will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device, browser, package size, or third-party service.
8. Local data and backups
Browser storage can be cleared, damaged, evicted, or become inaccessible. ColloqAid does not guarantee that locally stored data will never be lost. Keep important study packs backed up in Google Drive, as a device export, or in another location you control.
Before resetting the app, clearing browser data, changing devices, or removing a Google account connection, confirm that important work has been saved elsewhere.
9. Account and access revocation
You may disconnect Google access through ColloqAid or revoke access from your Google Account. ColloqAid may restrict access to public-sharing or service features when these terms are violated, when required by law, or when needed to protect users and the service.
Revoking access does not automatically delete files already stored in your Google Drive. Refer to the deletion section of the Privacy Policy for removal options.
10. Disclaimer
ColloqAid is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. No warranty is made that study content is accurate, complete, medically reliable, suitable for a particular course, or sufficient for an examination or professional decision.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ColloqAid and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost study material, lost data, missed academic outcomes, service interruption, or third-party service failure. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as ColloqAid changes. The effective date will be revised when updates are published. Continued use after an update means that the updated terms apply.
