Settings, privacy, and feedback

Adjust appearance and visible tools, review local storage, use the timer and mini game, and send feedback.

Checked against the current app on 2026-10-03.

Change appearance

Theme choices change app colors. Unformatted note text follows the theme; explicitly applied text colors and highlights retain their formatting. The public Help pages use the existing public-page light/dark design.

  1. Open the account menu → Settings, or use its Appearance shortcut. On mobile, Open settings menu reveals the categories.
  2. In Appearance, Switch to dark enables dark mode; Switch to light enables light mode.
  3. Choose White, Black & white, Blue, Green, Amber, Yellow, or Rose.

Choose the library and visible tools

  • Library & study shows Study Notes and Flashcards, the current pack, and each system’s description. Selecting a system uses the existing system switch.
  • Viewer offers App sounds, Image controls, Microscope, ColloqAid GQB mini game, and Share button toggles. Hiding a navigation/control entry is different from deleting its content.
  • The entry timer uses editable duration digits, Start, and Reset. It is independent of quiz scoring.
  • The GQB header logo is ColloqAid’s legacy logo and opens the ColloqAid GQB mini game when enabled. Use the game’s own visible controls to play and leave it; it is separate from study progress.

Review local storage

Review reopens the notice; it is not a delete-data command or a detailed cookie-category settings page. See Privacy for the full public disclosures. Save external pack copies before clearing browser data.

  1. Open Settings → Account & privacy.
  2. Under Privacy / Storage, choose Review.
  3. In the Local storage notice, use Details / Hide details to read what local storage is used for.
  4. Use Allow local storage if you choose to enable it.

Play the optional GQB mini game

  • Click the header GQB logo to open the game. If hidden, enable ColloqAid GQB mini game in Settings → Viewer.
  • In Tic-Tac-Toe, click an empty square to place X and wait for GQB’s O. After the win/loss/draw message, click the board to replay.
  • Su switches to Sudoku; XO returns to Tic-Tac-Toe. Click an editable Sudoku square to cycle numbers, or choose from the 1–9 number pad. Choosing its current number clears it; fixed clues stay unchanged.
  • R (New Sudoku) followed by OK confirms a fresh puzzle. A completed incorrect grid highlights red squares; a solved grid says Sudoku solved. Click to replay.
  • Escape or clicking outside closes the game. Locally saved progress can resume when you reopen it. This optional game is separate from study progress and has no displayed numerical leaderboard.

Reset the app deliberately

Where Reset current library is offered, it clears only the active system while preserving the other library, profile, and sign-in. It has its own confirmation, and Flashcards recreates a starter card. This is distinct from Reset app.

  1. Save all packs you need to retain as device files or owned Drive files.
  2. Open Settings → App → Reset app.
  3. On wide desktop layouts, review Click again to reset and click again. On a phone or narrow screen, review the Reset app confirmation and choose Reset app only if you intend to clear local app data.

Send feedback

For a failed import, save, sync, profile, or sharing action, open the process badge → Status history and review What happened, What it means, and What to do. Copy technical report is offered for relevant failures. Include the click just before the error in your message.

The app’s actionable notices are in-app messages. These settings do not promise operating-system push notifications.

  1. Choose Feedback & suggestions from the account menu, or Settings → App → Send feedback.
  2. Enter Email and Message. Name is optional.
  3. Attach up to three screenshots if useful. Screenshot attachment requires sign-in and accepts PNG, JPEG, or WebP; otherwise the control says Sign in to attach.
  4. Choose Send feedback.

Questions and answers

How do I change the theme?

Open account menu → Settings → Appearance. Use Switch to dark/light and choose White, Black & white, Blue, Green, Amber, Yellow, or Rose. Default note text adapts; intentional colors and highlights stay chosen.

Does Reset app delete my Drive files?

No. It clears browser-local app data and signs out, but it does not delete your external Drive files, device backups, or published packs. Save browser-only work first.

How do I report a problem to ColloqAid?

Use Feedback & suggestions or Settings → App → Send feedback. Email and Message are required; Name is optional. Screenshots need sign-in. For process failures, include the action just before the error and the relevant Status history technical report.
